Shipping policy
We are super excited when you place an order with us and want you to receive it as soon as possible. Most orders are processed within 5-7 business days, Monday - Friday. We do ask for extra grace around high volume times, such as sales, holidays and our busy fall season heading into the holidays.
We ship with USPS economy, first class and priority mail or UPS ground saver and UPS ground. We choose the fastest shipping method within our flat rate shipping range. In general, our carriers will deliver your package in 2-8 business days, depending on where you live. Shipping times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. Global Fiber Shop is not responsible for delayed packages or lost/damaged items once they are received by the shipping carrier.
Need an item faster?
We do understand, sometimes there really are tight deadlines and fabric emergencies. If you need to request expedited processing, please send us an email with your order number and we will do our best to accommodate these requests if possible. We do not usually charge extra for expedited processing but expedited shipping is an additional $20 and chosen at checkout.
How do you calculate shipping?
All domestic orders weighing up to 1lb will ship with $5.75 flat rate shipping. Orders weighing more then 1lb ship with $9.75 flat rate shipping. Domestic orders over $150 qualify for free shipping. Priority Shipping (carriers usually deliver in 3-5 business days) can be chose for $20 at checkout.

Do you offer international shipping?
At this time, we have suspended international shipping.
Lost or delayed packages?
We know you are excited to receive your order. From time to time, USPS and UPS can lose a package. This is extraordinarily rare - in fact, since we have been open we have only seen one package remain unrecoverable.
If 14 days have passed since the date of shipping with stagnant progress, please email us at hello@globalfibershop.com. We can file a claim on your behalf. For USPS packages, if 14 days have not yet passed, your most efficient method to receive an update on your delivery is to take your tracking number to your local USPS office. After a file is claimed, it can take up to 8 weeks to receive a response. Sometimes USPS will refund you directly. Sometimes USPS will refund Global Fiber Shop. If we receive a refund we will immediately pass this on to you. Global Fiber Shop will not reimburse or credit lost or delayed packages until we receive the outcome of a filed claim.
Please note, packages marked as delivered by the carrier, but not received by the recipient, must be investigated and resolved between the customer and the carrier. Global Fiber Shop does not assume responsibility for errors in delivery location, lost or stolen packages.
We hope you appreciate how very rare these events are and we are just as frustrated as you when they do occur.
