Fat Quarter Treats is a fabric advent calendar made especially for quilters. Unwrap at least one curated fat quarter each day and count down to the holidays with modern quilting cottons, wovens and a few extra surprises along the way.

This is year five of our very popular Fat Quarter Treat Countdown Boxes! While this has become a seasonal tradition at Global Fiber Shop, each year we tweak things a bit to make sure your experience is unique from years past.

2026 preorders close October 15, or earlier if boxes sell out. Quantities are limited.

What is the difference between Classic and More is MORE?

Classic includes 25 days of Fat Quarter Treats for $145. More is MORE extends the fun through December 31 with 31 days of treats for $175. Free U.S. shipping is included with both options.

Why choose our Fat Quarter Treats?

  • Fabric first. Every day includes at least one fat quarter. While you'll find a few extra surprises along the way, fabric is always the star of the show.
  • Curated by Global Fiber Shop. Expect the same mix of premium prints, wovens, textures and unexpected finds you see in our shop, from makers including Ruby Star Society, Art Gallery Fabrics, Fableism Supply Co., Cloud9, Rifle Paper Co. and more.
  • A little creative nudge. Discover a print you might not have chosen yourself, try a new woven or texture, and head into 2027 with a very happy stash.
  • Packed by hand. Every day's treat is individually chosen, cut, wrapped and numbered right here at Global Fiber Shop.

How much is shipping?

For 2026, free shipping is included for United States addresses.  

Will you ship internationally?

We do not ship internationally at the time. 

When will I receive my box?

All preordered boxes will ship no later than November 21. We ship boxes in the order orders were received. You'll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your box ships.

I don't celebrate Christmas.  Will these boxes be filled with Christmas fabric?

We want everyone to enjoy a month of surprises, regardless of your previous experience with traditional "advent" calendars.  You may find a few winter-themed prints in the boxes but the contents are intentionally not oriented to any specific holiday.

Why can't I combine other items in my order?

Each box is shipped completely stuffed with countdown contents in its own box.  We cannot accommodate adding items to these boxes.  Orders that contain additional items may be delayed and/or invoiced for an additional shipping fee to process other items separately.

I love one of the prints I received and want more! How can I reorder?

Your box will include a combination of staples that we continually restock and some limited-edition prints that cannot be reordered.  Your box may include items from collections released in 2026 or older collections that have since gone out of stock.  While boxes have similar contents, many of the boxes contain selections unique to your box. The best way to determine if we still have inventory of anything you like is to send us a picture of the item. 

What substrates are included in the box?

At Global Fiber Shop, mixing textures and substrates is a big part of what we love to do! Your box may include traditional quilting cottons, wovens, linen blends and other fabrics you see throughout our shop.

We're huge fans of wovens and carry collections from Fableism Supply Co., as well as Essex Linen from Robert Kaufman. If you're new to Global Fiber Shop, we encourage you to browse the store and get a feel for our style before purchasing. Anything you see in our shop could inspire what appears in your box, including wovens.

If you're new to these substrates, we think you may discover a new obsession. They're beautiful in quilting projects and represent some of our most in-demand collections.

Will the fat quarters all be from the same collection or coordinate in a bundle?

Think of this as a way to build your stash with a handful of beautiful, versatile, stand-alone prints/wovens and mini-bundles.  You may notice a series of 2-3 selections that coordinate with each other or share qualities that work together.  The box is not intended to be used in a singular project and doesn't represent a single collection.

Can I choose the fabrics or colors in my box?

No. The fun of Fat Quarter Treats is the surprise! Boxes are curated individually and may vary. We aren't able to accommodate requests for specific colors, prints, substrates or fabric collections.

Can I make payments on my box?

Global Fiber Shop does not offer terms on these boxes but we do accept payment methods that may.  PayPal and Shop Pay may have options available to you if you'd like to pay for these over time.  

I want to order as a gift/surprise for a friend. Can you ship it to them?  

Absolutely! We will ship the box to the shipping address entered at checkout. If you're sending boxes to multiple recipients, please place a separate order for each shipping address. Shipping and tracking emails will be sent to the email address used for the order.

Preorders close October 15, or when sold out, whichever comes first.
