Introductions

Well, hi there!  My name is Laura and I am the owner and one-woman show behind Global Fiber Shop.  This little shop is my dream come true and I am so grateful to all of you for supporting our small business.  As a life-long fiber arts hobbyist and enthusiast, I am excited to create a corner of the world to celebrate fiber and textile arts and artisans.  Global Fiber Shop is full of pretty textiles and notions that make me happy, give me inspiration and I hope they do the same for you too!  We are having a ball curating fabric bundles, partnering with your favorite designers to bring you exclusive quilt kits and showing you what is currently inspiring us to create!  

No one is rooting harder for Global Fiber Shop then my family and they each are contributing to the success of our business. We are happy homebodies AND enthusiastic travelers.  (You can be both!) So much of what inspires me comes from exploring the world with our family, absorbing the energy and color of new place (or someplace that is new to us) and learning what inspires the artisans that call that place home.  We look forward to sharing these stories with you in special curated collections to come.

We are passionate advocates of social equity and being good stewards of our planet.  We are committed to featuring products and artisans that share this passion and/or may have been underrepresented in the past. And we promise to do our best to choose business practices, including packaging and shipping, that minimize our global footprint.
